Meyer has
worked with organizations worldwide using the improvisation
strategies she learned in her years building creative
teams in the professional theater. Today she combines
innovative strategies from artistic collaboration
with cutting edge management research and practice
to help her clients work at the top of their creative,
intellectual and energetic capacity.
She is
the author of Quantum Creativity:
Nine Principles to Transform the Way You Work,,
as well as numerous articles. Meyer's research in
adult learning and improvisation has contributed to
the development of learning space theory and practice,
helping managers and organizational practitioners
improve creative collaboration. She is also a leader
in organizational improvisation research and practice.
Pamela
Meyer received her doctorate in Human and Organizational
Systems from Fielding Graduate University and holds
Master of Arts degrees from Antioch University and
Fielding Graduate University, and a Bachelor of Fine
Arts degree from Boston University's School for Theatre
Arts. She is a member of the Academy of Management,
Actors Equity Association, and the National Speakers
Association, and regularly supports faculty, staff
and students through her volunteer work with the Chicago
Public School system.
In addition
to her work with organizations, She teaches courses
in business creativity, improvisation and organization
theory at DePaul University's School for New Learning,
where she also serves as Associate Director of the
Center to Advance Education for Adults.
Meyer's
work has been featured in Sales and Marketing Management,
BrandPackaging, Chicago Magazine, The Chicago Tribune,
Talking to the Boss, Conscious Choice and Professional
Speaker, as well as on numerous radio and TV programs.
