Kevin: Trust
Trust is perhaps the most sought-after, and most illusive workspace dynamic. It develops over time and in the context of shared experience in organizations. Positive learning space provides the opportunity for trust to evolve and extend into the workspace. Kevin's example illustrates this evolution. Over time he became aware of his tendency to strategize and control each of his collaborations, cutting himself off from the available discoveries. He described how he began to trust himself, the creative process and his colleagues:

That's probably the biggest thing that really resonated with me." He reflected, when I didn't really trust myself or when I didn't trust other people or I didn't trust [the facilitator] or I didn't trust whatever, then I started to scheme, and when I would start to scheme that's when I would screw everything up, so… If you trust yourself … it'll come out the way it's supposed to. And I think that's probably the biggest thing that really resonated with me.

Over time, Kevin became a valuable collaborator in the learning space and regularly began extending his discoveries to his workspace collaborations.
